Code Coaching is the foundation of our educational program at The Coder School Berkeley. Code Coaching is a semi-private lesson with 2 students working with 1 coach and is designed to build on what students already know in a more personalized way. As students' interests and coding experience vary, we pair students of equal age, experience and interest with a coach who can assess their coding skills, fill any gaps of knowledge, and then work with them to strengthen their foundation of coding as they guide them toward their goals.
The low student-to-coach ratio allows our students to learn in a more immersive environment and build relationships with each other and their coach, which helps them develop their coding skills at a faster rate. Students can work on languages from Scratch/Snap to Python and Roblox, HTML and even Swift, C++, Java, and Unity depending on their interest and ability. Code coaching has the most flexibility and occurs on a weekly schedule, based upon your student's availability and that of the coach. We offer Code Coaching Monday through Thursday between 3 pm to 7 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
